Kate Greenen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who delights in helping people come into better relationship with themselves and the most important people in their world. Kate’s therapeutic style is warm, practical, and full of humor and empathy. She is known for her down-to-earth clarity, keen insight, and ability to put just about anyone at ease so they can most effectively work towards their goals for change and growth.

Kate has extensive experience working with couples and individuals around relationship issues of all sorts, with particular expertise in parenting issues, healing from trauma, and strengthening attachment bonds. Prior to joining InnerWell, Kate had a private therapy practice in western Massachusetts, and previously held positions as an in-home therapist supporting families and couples, and as a clinician in a specialty center for eating disorders and body image issues. She has been a consultant in attachment issues and has significant training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, an approach which focuses on teaching mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills.

A native of Michigan, Kate moved to New England to pursue graduate studies in marriage & family therapy in 2007, and she and her partner have been enjoying living in southeastern Vermont ever since. When not in session, Kate enjoys reading, taking her dog out to play in the snow or water, and spending time with friends and family.
